Realities of life

We overthrow reasonings and all obstacles that proudly rise up against the knowledge of God, and we do every prisoner thought to obey Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Thousands of people have made plans to escape the realities of life. A new word has come into common use in recent years. This word is "escape". The dictionary defines it as "a withdrawal from reality in an imaginary world". The escape of the imagination. Solomon spoke of the unregenerate heart as being prone to excessive fantasy. The dream world promoted by Satan always ends in disillusionment. Thousands of people live in an unreal dream world, while fleeing their responsibilities to their families and to God. The Bible teaches that with Christ in your heart, you can face the realities of life. Even if they are hard, the grace of God will give you a joy and a pleasure superior to any world of dreams in which you would try to escape.

Prayer for the day

Lord, so often do my thoughts make you want to plant a fallow land. That day, let each of them be captive to you.
