Reject all forms of laziness !

“Jesus said to them : Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Immediately they left their nets and followed him.” Mark 1.17.18

If you need a helping hand, don't seek help from a lazy person ! Jesus never called a person who did nothing to His service. Notice that Jesus told already busy fishermen to follow Him and they immediately left their nets to follow Him. God will tear you away from a job to give you something else to do. He will come into your business and tell you : “Jean, I am coming to requisition your boat and terminate your fishing license !” Or : "I know you have a lot of work to do with your tax collection, Matthew, but I'm going to give you another job." Jesus never called to follow a single person who is idle, or busy waiting for His coming to start doing something serious ! Abraham Lincoln once said that he could find a lot of people willing to shed their last drop of blood in his service, but it was much harder to find people willing to shed their first drop of blood ! Most of us prefer to appear important while waiting for God to come and contact us individually. If this is your case, you may have to wait a long time! Blessings come after work, just as the harvest comes after sowing. “The Lord will give a blessing to be with you in your barns and in all your businesses” (Deuteronomy 28.8). God blesses the visionaries, not the sweet dreamers. So get to work ! After creating Adam, God immediately gave him a job in the Garden of Eden. Why ? Because work and its results are essential for a man to acquire self-respect, a source of real joy. “Those whom I have chosen will enjoy the fruit of their labor” (Isaiah 65:22). Discern your role. Work to make it happen and when God has a job to fill, He will know where to find you !
