Remember what you received !

Luke 16:25 - ... My child, remember that you received your goods during your life...

I am not sure that all of God's children realize this word ! However, we must realize that one day or another, we will have to "explain" to God how we have managed the "goods" that have been given to us. Living a life of joy, abundance, and blessings is certainly God's plan, but living it selfishly is one of the worst things we can do.

In the face of the opulence that is within the reach of some of us and the lack that afflicts others, I believe that God's people still need to learn to remember others. The problem is not to be well off, and what happened to the rich man during our visit did not happen to him because of his wealth, but because he profited from it selfishly.

When everything is going well in our life, we all too often forget about this. All the love, all the graces, all the blessings that are given to us are so that we enjoy it of course, but also so that we give to others. This is the principle of living water, it must flow towards others. If we remain closed, the water of life in us will be polluted and the source will eventually dry up.

My beloved, let us prepare to meet our great God. Let us remember today that everything He gives us is also for the blessing of others. The Lord is happy to bless and He takes great pleasure in using us for it. Let us not run the risk of being greatly disillusioned in eternity. It is today and now that the difference will be made.
