Sad outlook

But I know you : you don't have the love of God within you. I have come in the name of my Father and you do not receive me ; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him. How can you believe, you who receive your glory from one another and who do not seek the glory that comes from God alone ? John 5: 42-44

Who is this man who comes in his own name and who will be received with open arms by the Jewish people ? It is the Antichrist, the man of sin... the son of perdition, who opposes and rises up against everything that is called God or that is an object of veneration, to the point that he is will sit in the temple of God, presenting himself as God (2 Thessalonians 2: 3,4). This event will take place after the rapture of the believers, probably shortly thereafter.

Two thousand years ago, the Jewish people did not receive Jesus as the Messiah whom God sent to them. Yet his coming was clearly announced in the scriptures that Jewish religious leaders claimed to know and respect. This is where a people have come to when they have received the best Law and the most wonderful care from God !

The world that calls itself Christian follows the same path as Israel ; he goes in exactly the same direction, towards the same apostasy : he rejects the gospel of the grace of God which has been fully proclaimed to him.

Thus, having refused the man Christ Jesus, come in grace for the good of men, he will acclaim another man, possessed by the devil. When true believers are taken up to heaven with Jesus, the Christianized West will have at their head a man whom the Bible presents as a beast with seven heads and ten horns (Revelation 13: 1 17: 7). His intelligence will be extraordinary, but he will use it for evil and not for good, and it will be the devil who will give him his evil power.

How terrible it will be for men to have refused the Savior of the world! Total blindness will fall on them, and the devil will lead them to the greatest calamities.

Perhaps a reader has had the privilege of hearing the gospel of God's love and has not yet received Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. May he take the step of repentance and faith today, to be safe from the judgment which will not delay !
