Safe in the sanctuary

We have through the blood of Jesus the assurance of free access to the sanctuary. Hebrews 10.19

"Sanctuary" : this old word is currently used again to designate a delimited and protected place in which lives an endangered animal species. For example the Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa, where lions find refuge. The film Mya and the White Lion is the story of a young girl's friendship for a white lion cub, Charlie. Alas, the baby has become an adult and unmanageable !

The South African police snipers already had the fugitive beast in their sights. Mya's daddy defended her body, until Charlie finally made it to the safety of the reserve. So, final gesture of the chief of police : we stop everything ! Phew !

Sinful man is in danger : his sin having separated him from God, he is naturally heading towards an eternity without him. But we can say that Jesus made a bulwark of his body against the righteous judgment of God : he died in the place of the sinner. What eternal security : saved from the condemnation our sin deserved, safe with the Savior ! Heaven is the sanctuary for humans, literally the holy place where Jesus is present. It’s grandiose ! Do you know this big "phew" ?
