Satisfy the claims

By the blood of Jesus, all my sins are forgiven.

If all our sins are forgiven, we have redemption by right. But if there remains in our life any unconfessed sin, and therefore not forgiven, the full right will not be legally granted in this area. Satan can always claim this particular ground. I have been able to observe the evidence many times in my deliverance ministry. If Satan has any claim, he will not let go. You can yell at him or fast for a week, you will not change the situation, because he knows that he is legally entitled to his claim and that it has not yet been satisfied.

Another way to give Satan a legal claim to our lives is forgiveness. Jesus teaches that God forgives us to the extent that we forgive others. We must pray : "Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have offended us," (Matthew 6:12). We do not have the right to ask God for forgiveness beyond the extent to which we forgive others (see verses 14-15). Therefore, to the extent that there are people to whom we have not forgiven, God does not forgive us either. In other words, any area of no forgiveness in our life is an area that Satan can still legally claim. You will be able to do whatever you want, you will not be able to dislodge it until you have forgiven those to whom you must forgive.

Prayer of the day :

Thank you Lord for the blood of Jesus. I proclaim that I am fully forgiven because I confess all my sins and now forgive those who have hurt me (make a list of particular names). By the blood of Jesus, all my sins are forgiven. Amen.
