Say no !

[Jesus] was tempted like us in all things, without committing sin. Hebrews 4:15 (read also verse 16)

The little word “No !" Is probably the first one we have said in this world. This innate ability to oppose must be able to express itself, provided that opposite, the child finds parents who do not leave him the exclusive right to use this word !

In adult life, we have to admit that it's not always easy to oppose those who want to impose their will on us. In the presence of somewhat tyrannical relatives, we are afraid of conflict, fear of being rejected...

Result ? "Yes” uttered without conviction, frustrations, veiled relationships.

Having the courage to say real “no”, on the other hand, helps us to be able to say real “yes”, from the bottom of our heart, in complete freedom !

How to get there ? By saying a real “Yes !” To Jesus in our hearts ! During his time on earth, Christ was constantly grappling with abuse of power on the part of those close to him to keep him from the way of the cross, which was yet to save us (See Matthew 16.22-23). But he was also mercilessly harassed by his enemies and... by the devil, who would have liked to push him to do evil. And thus to disqualify him.

Jesus, our Savior, stood firm. His "No !" To abuse and evil paved the way for his "Yes !" To the grace and true freedom, which his triumphant death on the cross has acquired for us ! So tell him fully : “Yes !"
