Science and religion

It is he who reveals what is deeply buried and hidden, who knows what is in darkness, and the light resides beside him. Daniel 2:22

The fact is that science and faith are complementary and there is no conflict between true science and true religion. Together, they constitute the best foundation for a healthy faith and the courage of a daily life. When Galileo, the father of modern science, discovered that the earth was turning, instead of moving the sun around the earth, some religious leaders were very disturbed because they had another theory. But eventually they were reconciled.

Since that day, we have seen with happiness that true science is compatible with a deep religious faith. Christianity is what we might call : supra-scientific. Beyond science, roads lead to truth. Christ Jesus was the Master of spiritual truth and he communicates it to us - as we establish a working relationship with him.

Prayer for the day

Thank you, Father, for the revelation of your love when you gave your beloved son to die for me. Nothing will allow science to discover this transcendence of this divine miracle !
