Small, but big for God

"But God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, God chose the weak things of the world to confound the strong." 1 Corinthians 1.27

There are things that God tells us that at first sight do not seem very important, yet it is through them that he wants to use us.

For example, in the book of Exodus, we are told of a staff, that of Moses, whom God will use to perform miracles and deliver his people. "The LORD said to him, What is in your hand ?" He answered, A rod. Exodus 4.2

Later, there will be a jawbone that Samson, driven by the Spirit of God, will seize to free himself from the hand of the Philistines. "He found a fresh jawbone, he stretched out his hand to take it, and he killed a thousand men." Judges 15.15

And then there was again the widow of Sarepta, who had nothing to eat except a little handful of flour and a little oil. And who nevertheless lived the divine provision. "For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The meal that is in the pot shall not be wanting, nor the oil that is in the pitcher shall diminish." 1 Kings 17.14

Of course we could also highlight other stories, that of David who killed Goliath with his slingshot and some stones (1 Samuel 17:40). Of this young boy who, with five loaves and two fish, feeds thousands of people (Mark 6.41). However, I would like to finish on a history of the present time, that of TopChrétien.

One day, a man mandated by God, sees himself charged with an incredible mission : that of creating a Christian portal on the Web.

He has no stick, no financial means, it must be said that the banks would not have followed such a crazy project ! No, Eric does not have any of that, he just has a vision, an internet connection and a computer. It is therefore with a small team that he meets this challenge and creates the first Christian portal of the Francophonie.

Today, millions of people, through this tool, hear the message of the gospel and entrust their lives to Jesus. Wow ! There is really only God who can do that.

And you ? God has necessarily entrusted you with something : it can be a gift, special abilities, what are you going to do with it ? God wants to use it to accomplish great things. So, go ahead and become your own instruments of God.

Father, use me, I commit myself to your service.
