Sow on any occasion !
“In this way you will be enriched in every way for all kinds of acts of generosity which, through us, will raise prayers of thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9.11
Your enemies will not be able to prevent God from blessing you richly. “You prepare a table before me, in front of my adversaries.” (Psalm 23. 5). God will honor your faithfulness before the astonished and unbelieving eyes of all who have criticized you. Don't imagine that everyone is happy about your success. Knowing success often provokes the contempt of others. Christians who criticize their brothers and sisters for their success are often people who do not believe that they themselves can receive such blessings from God ! Your reaction when you find out how much God has blessed your brother or sister will be the best proof of your true character. Before you begin to criticize someone for the divine blessings they enjoy today, examine the seeds they have sown in the form of gifts, time spent serving and encouraging others, time for preparation, and for learning at the feet of Christ, and proofs of love for his brethren. You may be envious of the harvest of blessings he has been given, but you do not know his full history, you do not know the extent of his sowing the previous season, or where the seeds he sowed came from. Paul gives us the answer : “It is God who provides the seed to the sowers...” (2 Corinthians 9:10). God only provides seeds to sowers : are you used to sowing or rather to accumulating ? If you sow generously, God promises that He “will provide and multiply the seed for you...” (2 Corinthians 9:10). If you sow for the Kingdom of God He guarantees to make you rich so that you will be able to express your generosity on all occasions, without exception ! Yes, rich in important relationships, rich in wisdom and discernment, rich in strength and health, rich in material goods... Why does God allow us to prosper in this world ? For a very specific reason and only one : so that we are instruments in His hands to enrich others with His blessings ! Jim Eliott said : "Sage is the man who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he can never lose !"
