Speak the languages of angels

"If I speak the languages ​​of men, and even those of angels, but I have no love, I am a copper that resonates or a cymbal that resounds" (1 Corinthians 13: 1).

Men have written a lot about "the language of angels". Some have equated this language with speaking in tongues, but the Bible says that "he who speaks in tongues does not speak to men, but to God, because no one understands him, and in the spirit he speaks mysteries" (1 Corinthians 14: 2). Apparently, no one understands the prayer in tongues, except God. It is also possible that "no one understands" among men... In this case, when we speak in tongues, the angels of God would understand our prayers and be released to minister on our behalf.

In any case, the Bible tells us that if I pray in the tongue, I do, it is true, give excellent thanksgiving, but the other is not edified (1 Corinthians 14: 16-17). The Apostle Paul shows us that if an unbeliever enters a church where all speak in tongues, that person risks taking Christians for lunatics, if no intelligible words are brought. The carnal man can not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him (1 Corinthians 2:14). He therefore needs someone to speak to him in his language.

Paul goes on to say : "I thank God that I speak in language more than all of you; but, in the Church, I prefer to say 5 words with my understanding, to instruct others as well, as 10,000 words in the language" (1 Corinthians 14: 18-19). In his personal life, it is clear that the apostle preferred prayer in tongues to the limited language of men, but in the Church, when he had to address men, he preferred to use the language understood by men. "Otherwise, if you give thanks by the spirit, how is he who is in the ranks of the man of the people to answer Amen ?" to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you say ? (1 Corinthians 14:16, see 1 Corinthians 14: 10-11). For a man to be "convinced, judged, that the secrets of his heart are revealed, so that, falling on his face, he adores God and proclaims that God is truly in our midst" (1 Corinthians 14:25 ), he must understand our language !
