Start the conversation (continued)

Does your interlocutor want to close the discussion ? However, it is possible to restart the dialogue by asking an open question, formulated from the elements of the last sentence of this person :

. You : Hello sir, can I offer you this brochure ?

. Him : What is it about ?

. You : It's good news !

. Him: Ah, good and which one ?

. You : That of Jesus !

. He : Oh you know, I do not care about religion.

. You : It does not interest you ?

. Him : And then, there are so many !

. You : Do you think there are many ?

. Him : We do not know who to believe !

. You : And so, who would you believe ?

. Him : How to know who says true ?

. You : If you do not know who's right, it's because some people are lying or making mistakes...

This way you can start or restart a conversation. The advantage of this method is that it does not make anyone uncomfortable, as would a heavy silence. It proves to your interlocutor that you really listen to it, that it is important and that you do not judge it.

To start conversations, the best leaders are often simple trivia.

One man said : "If time never changed, half of the men would have no subject for conversation."

Some conversation launchers : weather, politics, sports, news, cinema and TV programs, etc.
