In an increasingly individualistic world, it is easy to forget the individual. In big cities, neighbors never speak to each other. Someone may die in their apartment and stay there for several days without anyone caring, until a smell begins to emerge.

In fact, most people find it odd that a stranger (or even a neighbor) is talking to them. They automatically imagine that it is suspicious, that this person certainly has bad intentions. This individualism is completely contrary to the spirit of the Kingdom. In the Kingdom of God, each individual is important, precious, unique. Each individual deserves to be helped, spoken to and stopped for him.

Society is interested in the crowd. Companies too. They are looking for ratings and attracting crowds. This is because the individual does not bring in enough money. Society can make people think that they are interested in the individual, but it is a false pretense. Because of this, many churches are interested in the crowd. Many pastors compare their success with the number of people in their church. It is a great danger because heaven will not judge them according to this criterion, but according to obedience and faith in God. We forget the individual. The individual is not important enough to take time with him, and anyway, we are so busy that we do not have time for him.

I realized that at a certain level, I had fallen into this trap. We take care of a team, we take care of a church, we pray for the awakening of the Francophonie, we pray and we talk to the crowds, and we can easily forget the individual. We can forget the names. We can forget the stories. We may not be able to take an interest in people and listen to them. Annabelle told me that I did not care enough about individuals. I tried to justify myself, but I realized that it was difficult for me to take time with people... She was right. The Lord began to tell me something...
