Stuck ?

Matthew 7:14 - But narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find them.

More and more we are faced with people telling us to be open-minded. Why are these people telling us this ? Because they believe that we are too strict, extremists, narrow-minded, intolerant, outdated... in short, that we are not living with the times. As if the message of Christ needs to be watered down and why not, a little mixed up with other sciences, religions or philosophies.

Do not cry scandal too quickly because the web is swarming with weakened Christians who drink polluted water without realizing that it has long ago lost its purity.

Let's go back to our verse for the day. Jesus, our Model, had a narrow mind. Yes of course ! He was not there to bring a populist message and win the favor of the crowds. Everything He taught was strong, harsh, and indigestible since many of the disciples could not stand what He said and did not follow Him anymore (John 6.60). Yet He had the Words of life as Peter will say so well (John 6.68).

Let us also think of his precursor, the one who was to open the way to him: John the Baptist. His speech was harsh, sharp like a sword and burning like fire. So we decided not to be more royalist than the King and to align ourselves with what He said.

My beloved, Christendom has distorted the Love of God. In the name of this "misrepresentation", many are willing to accept anything and make all kinds of unhealthy alliances. The Love of God manifests itself for the lost human being by offering him a door of salvation but He is uncompromising with sin. My friend, have you gone through that narrow door ? Are you walking the narrow path of God's will ? If so, you are one of the few who are on their way to life !

Good reflection.
