Take action !

"I will rise, I will go to my father and I will say to him, I have sinned against heaven and against you (...) He arose and went to his father." Luke 15.17-20

The story of the prodigal son is known beyond the borders of Christianity. This son slammed the door of his father's house to squander all his fortune. He found himself in a humiliating situation, feeding pigs while envying their food.

Things will never change until you rise to become reality.

How many stories are similar ? Men, women who, after bad decisions, find themselves at the bottom, without hope, far from God and his plan. Unfortunately, some people spend whole lives in this catastrophic situation. How did the prodigal son escape ? Did he have money on him ? Good friends ? A good boss ? Neighbors caring ? Nothing of the sort.

Things have changed when he said STOP, it can not last, the situation must evolve. The Bible clearly states that after returning to himself, he realized the failure. Then he drew up a roadmap : "I will get up, go to my father, and tell him, I have sinned against heaven and against you." Luke 15.17-18

Establish a plan of action, say tomorrow I will do this or that is good but it is not enough. A new year has just begun and with it its horde of resolutions. However, things will never change until you rise to become reality.

After designing his project, the prodigal son "(...) got up and went to his father." Luke 15:20 This made the difference. Moreover, very often, what makes the difference between those who advance and those who are in the statuquo is summed up by the fact of "taking action".

In this new year 2018 make the necessary decisions and act. Each significant advance is preceded by a decision. What have you reported so far ? What should you do to improve your life ? It may be a question of replacing bad habits with sports, reading or getting up early in the morning to meditate on the word of God.

Do not blame anyone for causing your problems and think about how you can transform your situation. Study, spend time with your family. There are so many things you can do.

The father of the prodigal son only waited for this to help him and to pardon him. Note that the father did not act in place of his son, it was up to the latter to stand up and to act accordingly to change his life.

Likewise, I believe that the Lord desires to give you grace and give you the strength to move forward. As with the cripple, Jesus tells you : "Get up and walk." Jesus will not walk in your place but on this day he wants to give you the strength to get out of your situation.

A wish for today

I wish you a happy new year 2018, full of adventures and challenges. Take action !
