Take care of the needy !

Acts 4: 32-34 - The multitude of those who believed were but one heart and one soul... The apostles bore witness with great force of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace rested upon them all. For there was no needy among them...

The Word of God is so rich in teachings. A single word can spring from the text and give a very strong spiritual dimension. This is the case in this verse with the little word "because" ! It sheds light on why the early church had so much strength in its testimony despite opposition.

The Apostles could bear strong testimony because there were no needy in their community. The church was one heart and one soul because there were no needy within it. The church found favor with all the people, had a good reputation, because there was no "poor man" in the midst of it !

You may be one of those who desire to see the glory of God manifest in and outside your community. So, let yourself be challenged by this lighting ! Establish equality among your members. Make sure that none of them are in need. Join the heart of the Father by having compassion for the needy in your bosom.

We have already expressed it in our thoughts, but the more we study the Word of God, the more we realize that taking care of the weak is one of the essential desires that are on the heart of God. He even cares about little birds ! Imagine then the oppressed, the widows, the orphans, the little children... This is not the place to put verses but they are certainly hundreds. Let’s not miss the opportunity to please our Lord, the community asks too often when they should be giving !
