Take example on Jesus

"Take a model on Jesus Christ, have in you the thoughts and feelings that once animated him." Philippians 2.5

Before allowing the Israelites to enter the Promised Land, God had to wait forty years until the generation of negative, unbelieving, and disobedient attitudes died.

"Jesus is our norm, our model."

In the same way, you can not inherit the abundant life that God has for you if you do not change your attitude, if you do not change the way you think.

But that will not happen alone. You will have to make war on your old attitudes and ways of thinking that will continually seek to take over and steal the blessings of God in your life. Do you make war on your bad attitudes, or do you let them take control of your existence ?

It is not because you are progressing and maturing that you automatically acquire the right attitudes. I have seen many older people with miserable mentalities ! Acquiring good attitudes requires a lot of effort. It's a fight every day.

So what is your norm ? Do you know what are the right attitudes ? Philippians 2.5 tells us : "Take a model on Jesus Christ, have in you the thoughts and feelings that once animated him."

To summarize, Jesus is our norm, our model. He is the one we must strive to look like. It was his altruism that led him to die for us on the cross, so that we could lead an abundant life. And it is your good attitude that will open the door to this abundance in your life.

An action for today

Make war on the bad attitudes that close the door to the blessings of God. Take an example of Jesus to live the abundant life that God has planned for you.
