Talk to the right person !

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all simply and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1.5

Life, even Christian life, is never a long calm river. Of course, I'm not telling you anything. It is an often tortuous path, strewn with obstacles. In other words, worries and problems.

In such circumstances, we often have the reflex to look for a culprit...

Maurice worked on a farm. He liked being outside in the sun, but he didn't like rainy days. So, he sometimes called the local weather station to accuse them of having predicted this bad weather. The first amazement passed, his interlocutors tried to explain to him... It was a waste of time : he was convinced that they had real power over the weather, since they announced the weather.

Does this true story make you smile ? Me too !

However, do we not behave in the same way from time to time ? When we have a problem, we sometimes feel that if we find THE culprit, then everything will be fine. More often than not this solution doesn't work, you know that as well as I do.

Obstacles, big and small, are an integral part of our life on Earth. If, instead of looking for the culprit first, we turn directly to God to receive his wisdom and his advice, then things turn out to be much simpler.

We no longer waste time unnecessarily, which is great in our busy lives, and we can act quickly to resolve the problem. As a bonus, we receive his peace and we grow in confidence in the one who promised that he would always be present at our side !

Listen the voice of God

Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to say. Do not look in vain to find a culprit and remember that God remains sovereign in your life.

Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is a sample prayer : "Lord, thank you for your loving presence and your guidance. Give me the wisdom to get through the circumstances of my life. Amen."

Praise God

God always wants your good ! You can thank him for his always wise advice.

Act today

God does not accuse you. So concretely, what changes do you want to make in the way you look at others ?

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"My God, in you is true wisdom. Yours is the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
