Testimonials
The time has come to judge […] and to destroy those who destroy the earth. Revelation 11:18
This passage is a prophecy. When the apostle John wrote it two thousand years ago, human activities were far from being able to destroy the world. It is quite different today : atomic technologies and biological manipulations pose enormous risks. Air, land and oceans, our entire environment is polluted, jeopardizing the future of humanity.
These current problems demonstrate that the word of God is right. Satan is called the destroyer. Listening to him rather than to God, men follow him. Wars, violence and weapons of mass destruction prove the truthfulness to which the Bible testifies.
If his testimony is true about the risks man poses to the planet, we believe it is also true about the spiritual and eternal risks. We believe the Bible is true as it bears witness to sin and the judgment it brings. But also that it is wonderfully true in proclaiming the grace of God through Jesus Christ, who raises up the sinner, saves him by forgiving him.
Salvation gives us the assurance of being reconciled with God. By touching the heart, grace makes us live differently, makes us respectful of our neighbor and of nature. Grace changes everything, both our eternal destiny and our behavior here on earth.
