"You sit in the midst of the praises of Israel." Psalms 22.3
As it is written in the Bible : God dwells in the midst of the praises of his people. It is impossible to praise him too much or to thank him too much.
When you thank God for the gifts of life, you claim he is God ...
Sometimes our praise is like an overflow of joy, in response to a blessing we have received or as an exclamation while contemplating the beauty of creation. So, we say : "It's wonderful, I'll praise it !"
On the other hand, at other times, when circumstances do not seem to be appropriate, our praise depends really on our choice. At that moment, it is by our will that we choose to say : "I want to praise him !"
God loves these two forms of praise, and he does not prefer to one or the other, for he delights in the midst of our praises. The Lord always attaches great importance to a grateful heart !
When you thank God for the gifts of life, you claim that he is God and that from him come all the blessings. When you also thank him in the midst of adversity, you still affirm that he is God and that he is sovereign. Your confidence prepares you to see God manifested in your life because God sits in the midst of your praises !
Action for Today
Today, multiply the moments to tell Jesus how much you appreciate it and how much you are grateful to him ! This joyous discipline will help you to live continually in the presence of God.
