The ambasssadors for Christ

"Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his call through us. We implore you in the name of Christ, be reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Becoming "an ambassador for Christ" is not something we strive to achieve. If you are a Christian, you are a missionary. This does not only mean being sent abroad or going out. This mission on which we are is to possess a heart that loves him so that we want to see others get to know this love too.

Let me take another step and tell you that it is not just about being sent ; It's not just about joining your neighbors. It's about what kind of missionary you are.

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites ! To travel through the sea and the earth to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as you are"(Matthew 23:15).

Jesus says here : "You go from one place to another trying to get a convert, a proselyte, and when you get that one, they are a person worse than you." It is clear that this is not a healthy evangelism !

So the mission I'm talking about today is not just what we say, not the charity we're involved in or where we're going. Our attention must be on who we are. You are a missionary for your mother and father. You are a missionary for your children. You are a missionary for your spouse. You are a missionary for your neighbor.

The type of life you live, the type of heart you have, the type of gospel you live - be it powerful, penetrating your soul to change you to the extent you are transformed - will be the very degree that you can change and transform the world around you.
