Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of prophecy and keep what is written therein, for the time is at hand ! Revelation 1.3

Revelation is a book shrouded in mystery. It is said to be difficult, inaccessible. Very often, it is read out of curiosity or with suspicion.

It is also a very controversial book. Symbolism is present everywhere, which partly explains the most fanciful interpretations that have been proposed. For most of our contemporaries, Revelation is the book of catastrophes : "Apocalypse now". Nostradamus’s prophecies, regularly unearthed by the media, fuel the idea of ​​impending doom. The sects recruit by presenting their terrifying interpretations, and show the way to join their "group of the elect" to be spared.

Yet the message of the book of Revelation is first of all a message of hope. It announces the triumph of Christ and the establishment of his reign of righteousness and peace. His revelations were given to console and comfort the Church.

Faced with the injustices, the atrocities, the massacres which are multiplying in the world, who did not cry out : "Why does God not intervene ?"

The book of Revelation announces that God will soon intervene. He also addresses to all men a last call of grace : May he who is thirsty come ! Whoever wants the water of life take it for free ! (Revelation 22.17)
