The beyond

The beyond

What does this expression mean? Beyond what?

- Beyond our earthly lives.

- Beyond what our eyes can see.

- Beyond our reasonings and our ideas...

Those who only believe what they see think that when someone dies, everything stops for them. Others say : "There is something, but what ?"

Others : "How can you know what there is in the beyond since no one has ever come back to tell us about it ?"

The beyond is in the realm of faith. Indeed faith believes without seeing or reasoning. It does not trust public opinion, nor adhere to ideas that suit it. No, faith is based on what God declares in his Word, the Bible. This is unequivocal : our earthly life is only one stage, and when it ends, a new stage opens because every man has an immortal existence. This new stage, in the afterlife, depends on the choices that we will have made during our life on earth. More than that : our life on earth is given to us to prepare us for the afterlife.

If you have lived thus far without God, your hereafter will also be far from him, but under his judgment. Today it is not too late to approach him. Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth, died and rose again. He passed through this "beyond" as a winner. For all who believe in him, he opened a way through death. He will welcome them into his Father's house, beyond illuminated by the presence of Jesus, in eternal happiness.
