The bread of the life

I am the living bread descended from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever, and the bread that I will give is my body for the life of the world. Jean 6:51

In John 6:48, we read that Jesus said : "I am the bread of life." Jesus had fed 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish. They were all excited and delighted at the great miracle that had occurred [but] Jesus was talking about something more important than social needs. The bread in the Scriptures is a symbol of spiritual life.

Man has an innate hunger for God. He can not be satisfied with anything less than God. Only God can provide the bread that satisfies the inner desire of your soul and the hunger of your heart... The Bible says it is the bread of life.

Prayer for the day

Lord Jesus, thank you for satisfying the aspirations deep in my heart. Your presence meets the needs of my soul and I rejoice.
