The calm in the middle of the epreuve

King David said : "You have multiplied, O LORD, my God ! Your wonders and your designs in our favor "(Psalms 40:5).

"How precious are your thoughts, O God !" (Psalms 139:17 Darby version).

God thought of you even before you were born! He thought of you when your life started at the cell stadium - when you were still in your mother's womb. It is difficult to understand that our Father thinks so much of us. He thinks of us when we are lying in our bed, when we get up. He thinks of us with every step we take. He also knows and understands each of our thoughts : "Jesus, knowing their thoughts" (Luke 5:22).

The sky is peopled with very intelligent beings - angels, seraphim, cherubim - who are witnesses to the faithfulness of our God. They know all the promises he made to us about his attention to every detail of our lives. If God failed in one of these promises, all heaven would be plunged into chaos and ruin, for the heavenly host might say : "God has broken his word ! He can not be trusted." But the fact that all heaven praises God by throwing their crowns at his feet is proof that they contemplate and believe in his faithfulness. God is faithful to do everything he said he would do.

The world does not seek further doctrinal proof of the reality of God. The world is looking for Christians who can stand firm in every trial, every problem and every difficulty and stay calm and rest in the midst of it all. The world needs to see the children of God confide fully in their Lord.

Beloved, entrust yourself to God with all your heart. The deliverance from all fear and worry comes when one relies with confidence on the one who created us !
