The collegiality !

Ephesians 4:11 – And he gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and doctors.

Nowadays, the collegiality is a term that is often used but whose practice remains too little applied. The Lord has given five ministries of the Word : apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and doctor. How enriching it would be and is when these five ministries work together in complementarity, each remaining in what God has given them as a gift.

However, we realize that our natural tendency is to surround ourselves and work with people who have received gifts similar to ours. However, I believe that this is an error and that on the contrary, if it is good to have face-to-face meetings with people who have received a gift similar to ours, it is important that this face-to-face extends to men and women with a ministerial profile different from ours. This allows for enrichment but also can avoid certain excesses. Now, it is not easy to work with other people and whether we like it or not, the pyramid system is a system anchored in our intelligence that needs renewal.

Yes, many are for the collegiality, many are for the complementarity of ministries but on condition of being at the head. You see what I mean ?

As we have already written in our lines : God is not looking for people to build an empire, God is looking for living stones who will fit together but who will let His light shine through! However, we all have this natural tendency to return to our “me I” and thus want to be the greatest. The disciples also asked themselves the question of who would be the greatest. The greatest is our Lord ! Let’s stop and know that He is God ! Without Him, we can do nothing !

Let God transform our intelligence and let us put ourselves at the service of one another and enrich ourselves by sharing what each has received from God. We will grow and those who benefit from this harmony will also grow.
