The danger of not wanting to hurt (continued)

John the Baptist, Jesus and the apostles had a radical message. In part, they were not so revolutionary as that, like the prophets of the old covenants, this message called for repentance and faith in God. Stephen confronted the religious and Peter at Pentecost dared to tell the crowd that they had killed Jesus. These brothers were direct, their message was pure and whole. Peter proclaimed loudly : Repent ! "And by many other words he testified and encouraged them, saying : Save yourself from this perverted generation !" (Acts 2:40). What message ! This way of preaching is not much today, let alone in personal evangelism. We want to talk about love, glory and beauty !

The danger of not wanting to hurt is giving an incomplete message. It would be like going to Mc Drive and then ordering a full family menu and finding out at home that we only have half of what we asked for. It's a little disconcerting. It would be like buying a new car, but without a motor inside. Like a house without roof and without foundation. Speaking of the Lord, we often have only a few minutes, so do not be afraid to tell the truth, do not be afraid to hurt, because the goal is not to hurt, but that person comes to the knowledge of the truth and be saved before the day of judgment.

If a doctor gives medicine to a patient who has never taken it, without giving him the route of administration, it can make the medicine ineffective and even cause problems for the person who takes it. If he takes the medicine by mouth when it has to be spread like an ointment, he could poison himself. Many people will go to hell because they have not been preached the true message and given false expectations. We must preach the true gospel, even if it is radical. Let's do it with love and truth.
