The door is always open

Searching the Scriptures

It is in Christ, through faith in him, that we have the freedom to approach God with confidence. Ephesians 3:12

God has given us permission to approach His throne of grace fearlessly and confidently. In fact, Ephesians 3:12 even encourages us to approach him freely.

It means that we can step into the presence of God whenever we want to. We can even go 200 times a day, because we have an unlimited "privileged" membership card ! God doesn't even tell us that we have to knock before entering or wait for someone to allow us to do so.

Imagine a friend telling you : "You know what ? You can come to my house whenever you want. You don't have to knock because you are always welcome, the night as day. Just come !" Well, now realize that this is what God is telling you without reservation ! This means you don't have to hesitate, or wonder if you told her when you arrived. It also means that, even if you have made a mistake or something that you should not have made, you can repent of your sins, be washed by the blood of Jesus, and enter confidently into His presence.

Listen to the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Come into his presence, he is waiting for you. Rest assured that he is talking to you now.

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, how wonderful it is to be able to step into your presence at any moment. I am so grateful for this privilege and thank you for encouraging me to come to you."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

“Thank you for this unlimited access to you, my God ! Yours be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !”
