Heavenly Father tells us that we can do it, but the spirit of the world, the old man, will tell us the exact opposite. He will say to us, "You can not fight against this Philistine. You are only a child" (1 Samuel 17:33). David did not care that this Goliath was stronger than him, because David had, by dint of looking at the invisible, developed a mentality of the sky. When David found himself in front of this bear, the very first time, he had to make a decision. He had the choice : to flee and leave the flock at the mercy of the cruel bear, face him in a human way, or call on heaven. In front of the unbeliever to whom God asks us to speak, we have the choice : to flee and to leave this person in his condition of death, to face him in a human way by human arguments, or to appeal to heaven. The sky has power. Heaven has the solution. The sky has inspiration.
David had to confront the giant of fear. The bear was only Goliath, and David perceived that if he conquered fear, he would also defeat the Goliath. He knew that if he managed to overcome the giant of fear, by continuing to act and speak according to what he had perceived and seen in the invisible, the bear, the Goliath, would be only the rest. If he wins the victory over fear, he will also win the victory over Goliath.
The soldiers of Israel, the brothers of David and Saul, were largely mistaken. They were seduced by an enemy more cunning than them. Goliath called for "a man" to fight with him. Israel looked too much towards the earth. They had the mentality of the earth, the mentality of impossibilities, the mentality of human reasoning. They knew that to beat a giant, they had to fertilize a giant even stronger than Goliath. And this man, they had not fertilized him. Not only did they not have it, but they did not have time to fertilize it. They were lost, and it was because they were lost that Goliath stood in front of them for 40 days, mocking them, but could not do anything. Are you afraid of him ?
