The finished work

Unless born again, no one can see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

A person is saved by trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross, not by bodily sensations and religious ecstasy. But you will say : "And the feeling ? Isn't there room to save the faith to feel ?”. But we are not saved from it. Whatever the feeling, it can result from the salvation of faith, but the feeling has never saved a single soul. Love is a feeling. Joy is felt. Inner peace is felt. Love for others is a feeling. The concern for the lost is a feeling. But these feelings are not a conversion. The only experience you can seek and expect is the experience of believing in Christ.

Prayer for the day

Thank you, Lord, for your gift of redemption, which does not fluctuate like my feelings.
