The globalization

"The earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord." Habakuk 2. 14

The thought of globalization is omnipresent in the news and even in our daily lives.

Today, planes take us to the other side of the world in just a few hours, and the Internet puts us in immediate contact with the most distant countries. Trade and trade have become global. Despite its advantages, globalization poses many problems ... The devil also globalizes its efforts : circulation of drugs and weapons, terrorist actions, porn market ...

And for God, what about globalization ?

For a long time, God has thought of the earth in a global way. He made it and created the man on it (Isa.45, 12). In his love, at the time he had set for himself, God gave his Son to all humanity (John 3:16). After the work of the cross, Jesus commanded his disciples : "Go out into the whole world, and preach the gospel to all creation" (Mark 16:15).

"God ... wants all men to be saved" (1 Tim 2: 4).

"God now commands men that everyone, everywhere, they repent ..." because his judgment will be so global : "... because he has set a day when he must judge righteously the inhabited earth, by the Man whom he has destined for that" (Act 17. 30, 31).

But God's plan is more than our salvation. He took a decree about his own Son ; it consists in giving him the nations for inheritance and the ends of the earth for his possession (Ps. 2: 7-9). "He shall rule from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth ... all kings shall bow down to him, and all nations shall serve him" (Ps 72, 8-11).

At this glorious worldwide reign of Jesus on earth, Satan will oppose a coalition that will also be global ; but it will be broken (see Rev. 13. 3, 19. 19, 20. 9, 10).

Seeing God's plan for the world, the believers repeat : "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name ; may your kingdom come ; Thy will be done, as in heaven, even on the earth" (Matt 6: 9, 10).

Globalization reveals more than ever the decay that is in the heart of man's heart ; but above all it makes it possible to highlight what is in the heart of God.
