The God of Abraham !

Exodus 3.6 - I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.

There is something powerful in this word ! Yes, God is the God of creation, He is also the Father that Jesus Christ revealed but He is also, and this is what is extraordinary, the God of individuals. It may seem surprising, but God does not hesitate to "reveal" his identity through the testimony of a human being.

Your God will be my God said Ruth to her mother-in-law Naomi (Ruth 1:16) ! Ruth wanted to accept as divine authority over her life the God to whom Naomi testified. This brings me to the next thought : my relationship with God is going to bear witness to who He is around me. It is a great responsibility, but God is also discovering Himself through me. Those who do not know him will form an opinion, a conviction, not only from my speeches but from my relationship with him. The more He will be my God, the more He will shine through me.

If God can proudly bear witness to “I am the God of Corinne, of Claudy”, I participate in his identity and Him in mine. I am somebody because He is the "I Am" from all eternity. I am merged with Him. It is an integral part of my personality, of my testimony of life, of my identity. Yes, I believe that we can experience these words of Jesus : "He who has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14.9) !

My beloved, do those with whom we meet daily have a revelation from the God of Abraham through us ? Like Ruth, can they say : "I want the God of... (put your first name) to be my God," or our image of God to scare away those who approach us ?
