The grace of God is the real one

We have all received from his fullness, and grace upon grace. Indeed, the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1: 16-17

The grace of God is the favor par excellence.

The Gospel according to John proclaims it : it is beautiful, grandiose, beneficent.

Its foundation is the perfect work of Jesus Christ. It frees and restores. It makes new men and women of us. It leads to a true, rational, supernatural spirituality. It removes all illusions about ourselves, forces us to recognize our moral state, not very glorious, and gets rid of it too.

It frees us from moralistic legalism. The law of God, given by Moses, is no longer just written in a book, telling us over and over again "you must" and "you must not". Now it is written in the heart of the one who has received grace, allowing him to say "I can".

It is a law of freedom, the freedom of those who love because they know they are loved. In a time when authoritative arguments are refused, he who lives in the fellowship of Christ submits to him in obedience, for his authority is the authority of love. It is the authority of a loving Father, of a Shepherd. The disciple of Jesus wants to learn from him, always more, always better, because he is a gentle and humble Master of heart... his yoke is gentle and the burden he imposes is light. (Matthew 11.29-30).

The grace of God is the real one. Do not receive it in vain.
