The last will be first !

Isaiah 28:9 and 10 (Word of Life) - … Who does Isaiah want to teach ? Who does he explain his messages to ? To children who have just been weaned ? Has babies who have just left their mother's womb ? Listen to him : "b-a ba ba, b-o bo bo, d-a da da, d-o do do !".

It is always interesting to read several versions of the Bible. Sometimes there is a reworking that takes into account the latest semantic discoveries. This is the case with our verses.

The other "prophets" of Israel mocked Isaiah, he compared him to a kindergarten teacher. Maybe they even laughed at a stutter. One thing is certain, he was the laughing stock of the religious class of his time.

All this to come to this conclusion : what prophecies have come down to us ? Isaiah's or theirs ? Who prophesied in precise detail the coming of the Messiah, his death on the cross... eight centuries before these events ? Isaiah of course !

I would like you to be encouraged, you reading this thought. Maybe you are the laughing stock of Christendom, some look down on you making fun of you because of a disability, your lack of culture, your humble condition... Let people speak ! Hold on with all your heart to the call you have received. Do not let yourself be "undermined" by this flood of pettiness. One day, and it is closer than you think, your service for God will be honored ! It may not be in this life, but it will be good, when you step into the glory of the Heavenly Kingdom, to hear these words : "All right, good and faithful servant !” (Matthew 25.21).

I would also like to call on you, who takes pleasure in making fun of you. One day, all these words of mockery will be judged and they will turn to your confusion (Matthew 12:36). I am not judging but I warn you gently. Leave this beloved path.
