THE LIFE OF RESURRECTION WHICH COMES FROM GOD

As Christians, we believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. After the crucifixion of the Lord, the Holy Spirit entered the tomb where He lay and resurrected Him. It is for this reason that we sing at Easter that Christ came out of the tomb, victorious over His enemies, and that He now reigns with the saints for eternity.

We also believe that by the power of Christ we will rise again. This will happen when Jesus comes back. Scripture says that we will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye (see 1 Corinthians 15:52). The Holy Spirit will raise us up from this earth with incorruptible bodies and place us in the very presence of the Lord. It is the power of resurrection that Paul describes in his epistles - the power of a God who raises the dead!

I want to show you that Christ is still raising the dead today. I speak to you of the resurrection life that God brings to those who have died spiritually speaking. Paul describes this type of power that gives life in his letter to the Ephesians.

"You were dead by your offenses and by your sins, in which you used to walk, according to the train of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that now acts in the sons of rebellion. We too were of their number, and lived in the flesh of our flesh, fulfilling the will of the flesh and of our thoughts, and by nature we were children of wrath, like others.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, we who had died by our trespasses, has restored us to life with Christ (by grace you are saved); He raised us together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places, in Jesus Christ "(Ephesians 2: 1-6).
