The logic of the last hour

When Scripture proclaims : "Little children, it's the last hour. You have learned that the Antichrist is coming. Now, already now, there are several antichrists; by this we recognize that it is the last hour." (1 John 2:18) This is really the case. As for the message of the Gospel, it is always the last hour. God has been fair and just to all generations of the earth. This is the unique and unique doctrine of the Bible called "imminence".

Many are resting thinking : "There are still four months until the harvest" (John 4:35). If you want to know as one individual as Paul was able to do so much, then read his secret in 1 Corinthians. He lived as if the end of all things was imminent as if the final curtain could fall at any moment:

"What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that time is short. Henceforth, those who have a wife should be as if they did not have one, those who cry as if they were not crying, those who rejoice as if they do not rejoice, those who buy as if they did not possess, and those who enjoyed this world as if they did not enjoy it, for the world in its present form passes" (1 Corinthians 7: 29-31).

The gospel is eternal, but we do not have all eternity to proclaim it. We might think the opposite of seeing the quiet and measured activities of the Church on the evangelistic front. We have as time available, only the duration of our lives, to reach those who live as long as we do.

There are currently more than seven billion souls. They live today in the world, not in an indefinite future age that needs to be evangelized.

It's the last hour.
