The Lord hears your cry

Search the Scriptures

From the depths of the abyss I call on you, O Eternal ! Lord, hear my voice ! May your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications ! I hope in the Eternal, my soul hopes, and I await his promise. My soul relies on the Lord more than the guards rely on the morning. Psalm 130.1-2 ; 5-6

Here we see the picture of a man in despair. He is at the bottom and from the bottom of the abyss, from his agony, from the bottom of a sincere heart, he cries out to God, he raises his voice to God. His only hope now is the Lord.

Maybe you've been there before. Perhaps you remember such a situation. Remember that when you cry out in agony, from the bottom of a sincere heart, the Lord hears, but sometimes you have to do like this psalmist. You must hope in God.

He heard your cry, he comes to your rescue. Don't let go, don't give up your faith. The psalmist said : "I hope in the Eternal, my soul hopes, and I wait for his promise." Do not lose your hope which is so precious, and so necessary. A proverb says : "While there is life there is hope."

If you lose your hope, you may not see what the Lord has prepared for you. Wait on God, be ready, be urgent, hope in him as the psalmist says "more than the guards count on the morning".

Don't give up, and don't stop hoping. Hold on just a little longer and you'll see what God will do for you.

Listen the voice of God

Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to say. The Lord has heard your cry and is coming to your rescue.

Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "In my distress, I cry out to you Lord. Help me and lift me up. I have faith in you".

Praise God

Are you sure that God has not forgotten you and that he will act in your favor ? So don't wait, thank God with all your heart right now.

Act today

Don't give up! In the morning, decide in your heart to believe in the promises of God. Concretely, you can read a psalm which proclaims it.

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"My God, you are a firm support, a help that never fails in distress. To you be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
