The love does not proud

It is very easy to be proud when we start to bear a fruit a little bigger than the tip of our nose. Some swell so much that they fly away in a cloud of pride and become unreachable. No one can teach them anymore, no one can advise them anymore, nobody can take them back anymore : they think they are masters of the world.

I remember a man calling us regularly to TeachMe and entering into an interminable monologue, telling us how much he proclaimed the Gospel so well in the metros and in the streets... But this man was rebellious, and he finished by insulting us half for no reason (except for not having applauded the pride he showed) !

Without going into this kind of excess, many believers have experienced the reality of wanting to tell the world what they had just experienced with this or that unbeliever. It is in fact a very great danger for the evangelist. We see our first soul touched and we will tell it to the whole church. We see the first tear, and to the third Christian to whom we tell it, the tear becomes a puddle of water. It's "funny" to hear this kind of testimony : you were present with the Christian, you saw the same scene, but you have the impression that he tells another story... We must be very careful about our heart because God pays particular attention to how his servants behave.

God listens to us when we speak in His name of what He has done. Some people will have to learn to humble themselves because of this sin, because yes, it's a sin. To swell with pride is to take the glory of God upon us, to bring to our credit that which has been done by God. Oh what an odious sin ! What a serious thing ! Let us preserve this vice, because because of it, many believers will not live anything for years before they can understand humility.
