The love does not rejoices of the injustice

"Brothers and sisters, the vow of my heart and my prayer to God for the Israelites is that they be saved. Indeed, I give them this testimony : they have a zeal for God, but not according to true knowledge. They ignore the righteousness of God and seek to establish their own ; they are therefore not subject to the righteousness of God" (Romans 10: 1-3). When Jesus was on the cross and paid the price of our sins, he also bore the burden of the sins of those who had made him nailed on this cross. He could have asked the Father to exterminate them and send them to hell, but instead he asked the Father to forgive them, "because they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34) . Were not they aware of what they were doing to Jesus ? Did not they see him doing good in the streets and in the temple ? Jesus said they were not fully aware of what they were doing. They were blinded.

God never rejoices that a person goes to hell. He loves the worst of sinners, even to love those who had his only Son whipped. God loved people who spit in the face of Jesus, loved those who punched and slapped him. He even loved the man who took the sharp whip on the table and struck Jesus. Jesus loved those who took his clothes off him, put him on a scarlet cloak and put a crown of thorns on his head. He loved them as they slapped him, spat on his face, and hit him on the head. God's justice is love and forgiveness.

This is the message of the gospel : "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). It is the crazy love of God, and we must be immersed in it. We could be happy and satisfied when Muslim extremists are killed and suffer, but God is happy and satisfied when they are saved and find forgiveness. Paul is the example. Brothers and sisters, let's expand our hearts. The righteousness of God will bring suffering to those who have made us suffer, but it will come when the time of grace is finished.
