The love does not seek its interest

Do not look for interest, that's a big challenge, in a world where everyone is in pursuit of the benefits and the best for themselves. We want the best job, the best salary, the best house, the best car, the best conditions, the best church, the best holidays, etc.

By looking for all these things, we must ask ourselves whether we want the best for God or for us. Because God is not always in agreement with what we call the best.

For God it was the best that the apostle preached the gospel, yet this preaching led him to suffer terrible persecutions. It was the best Noah built the ark, but it made him the laughing stock of the whole region. It was the best that Christ came to forgive our sins, but it resulted in his death.

One thing is certain, if we choose the best in our eyes, we will miss God's will for us one day. We will protect our lives, but we will miss the best of God. This is why we must regularly renew our ways of thinking to think as God thinks. How does God think ?

Jesus will say that whoever loves his life will lose it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for everlasting life (John 12:25). He will say that he who does not take his cross to follow him is not worthy of him (Matthew 10:38). I want to be worthy of Jesus Christ and not have to blush when I see him face to face. I want to obey him and glorify him through my life. I want to be a nice sacrifice to his heart and make him happy. For this, I must manifest the love he has put in my heart and love selflessly. It is the love of God, the true love. It is this light, the true light, which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.
