The love not dies nevers

"The love not dies nevers. The prophecies will disappear, the languages will cease, the knowledge will disappear" (1 Corinthians 13: 8).

A man I talked to about Jesus was telling me how his grandmother spoke to him with passion about that same Jesus. This woman had been dead for a long time, but her passion for Jesus and her love for her grandson continued to work in her conscience. Love never dies, and if we act and speak with love, our actions and words will remain forever in the hearts of those who have seen and heard us.

It is true that the prophecies will disappear, and yet it is the spiritual gift par excellence that the apostle encourages us to seek the most. The tongues will cease, yet this same apostle praised God for speaking more languages ​​than anyone else. Knowledge will disappear, and yet without this knowledge, we perish. Everything will disappear, but love will never perish.

If we act and speak in love, we can be sure that an eternal seed has been deposited in the heart of our neighbor. And it is because love never perishes that we should develop it more and more in our life, in order to become more and more effective in God. Christ is dead, but his love remains. Christ is dead, but he intercedes for us. His love remains.

Love never dies, but it can leave us. This is why we must ensure that this love remains in us. God has poured it into us by the Holy Spirit, and we must be careful to keep it.

"If anyone who possesses the goods of this world sees his brother in need and closes his heart to him, how can the love of God dwell in him ?" (1 John 3:17) "If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept the commandments of my Father and abide in his love" (John 15:10).
