When a man (or woman) of God is modeled, the enemy forces are unleashed against him with great fury.
Are you currently enjoying a cup of bitter suffering, do you endure a terrifying hour of isolation and confusion ? If so, I urge you to hold on to faith : "I know who I believed in, and I am sure he has the power to keep my deposit until that day" (2 Timothy 1:12)
Your soul may not be flooded with joy and peace at this moment. In fact, you may still have some tumult in your soul. If so, stay firmly rooted in His Word and stop trying to find a way out yourself.
I can assure you that God has not forgotten you. It collects all your tears that you pour into a bottle. One morning, after preaching this word for the first time, I was approached by a dear sister in Christ. She told me : "Pastor, when I came to church this morning, I was happy and carefree. But when you started talking about the cup of suffering, I cried internally. I realized that I only showed a facade. My husband left me and my children are in turmoil. I covered all this to hide my pain. But, in reality, my soul is flooded with pain and regret." I prayed with her, at that time, asking God to strengthen her faith in Him. She left, really encouraged, because she knew who she had believed in.
Dear Saint, in the midst of your battle, make Jesus your joy and the hope of your life. "In the evening come the tears, And in the morning the gladness" (Psalms 30: 5).
God works best in us during our times of trial. Let Him change your heart so that what you live does not overwhelm you anymore. So, whatever may happen, you will stay above all these things, sitting with Him in heavenly places. You are the object of His incredible love !
