The past is meant to be forgotten !

“Express your gratitude in all circumstances…” 1 Thessalonians 5. 18 Segond Version 21

Think of Moses, the man who freed the people of Israel from their slavery in Egypt and to whom God gave the Ten Commandments. His name is still famous around the world, four thousand years after his death. But also remember that this man was a murderer, considered by the Egyptian police as public enemy number one! Hunted by it, he had to flee into the desert to escape the justice of his country and lived for forty years in the maquis playing the shepherd. Yet through this ordeal God would make him the man who would one day stand in Pharaoh's majestic palace and declare with a firm voice : “Let my people go !” A nation would be born because this man had agreed to do everything to fulfill his destiny planned by God. Don't let your past paralyze you. If God could use Moses, He can use you too. The most important sentence, when difficulties pile up before you, is this : “Forget your past !” Have you been hurt by life ? Forget injuries ! Have you been betrayed ? Forget betrayals ! Have you failed in any business ? Forget failures ! Paul said : “In all circumstances, express your gratitude !” Be grateful to God through your difficulties. Be grateful whether you are in abundance or in poverty. God is greater than all the criticism you will experience, greater than the giants you will encounter, greater than the burdens you will have to carry. Study the lives of those men and women in the Bible who chose to focus their gaze on the rays of sunshine that illuminated their path rather than on the clouds that obscured their horizon. Instead of cursing the storms that unfolded before them, they preferred to disperse them thanks to the light they carried within them, by choosing the only valid attitude, that of faith. So, do like them, don’t fear failure. Experiencing failure doesn't make you a failure, it only proves that you are learning. Dare to take risks. Take God's hand, take a step of faith and fulfill your destiny !
