The path is a person

The pilot of a military plane flies over the immense impenetrable forest of Vietnam. Suddenly the engine slows down and stops completely. Immediately, the pilot ejected from the aircraft and opened his parachute. Upon landing, it remains clinging to the branches of a tree. Thus suspended, he cannot free himself... Suddenly a noise ! A resident of this isolated region, who saw the accident, enters the thickets and frees him from this desperate situation. Finally on his feet, the pilot looks around him, but no exit appears. He makes his rescuer understand that he must find a way. How to get out of this forest ? The man shows him that there is no road, and that it is he who opens the way ! Without saying a word, he pushes his way through with his machete. The pilot follows him with confidence and thus leaves the jungle.

Is this not an illustration of our situation ? We have strayed from God, and we are unable, in our own strength, to return to our Creator. Jesus Christ then comes to meet us and says to us : “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Jesus alone can deliver us, save us and bring us to God. Do we trust Him to follow Him ? Jesus said to his disciple Peter : “You follow me” (John 21:22).

“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).
