The power of desire

God knows our heart, and he considers it fully, even when we hide our lack of zeal for his work. There are times when we voluntarily choose to go half way when God leads us a little further, times when we take the terrible decision not to persevere, to give up and to back down. Oh, never again would we live such moments !

We shared in my local church about proclaiming the gospel and entering the realm of the prophetic, obeying God and submitting to His will. Yes, there is truly a power in obedience, but before visible obedience, there is an invisible obedience : it is desire.

When we are encouraged to share our faith, and as in any other subject of preaching, our heart always responds to what we hear, either negatively or positively. And when God comes to hear the answer of our heart, He may find it pleasant, or sad. God encourages us to be passionate and to answer his call. God would like to find in us, after hearing an exhortation : ambition, appetite, wish, vow, will, desire to obey and do good.

When God sees in us the desire to obey him, he will open a path before us so that we can manifest that desire in the concrete of our lives. When God finds in us the desire to proclaim the gospel to men, then you can be sure that He will open doors so that you can be a voice for Him ! In fact, God is only waiting for this : to send workers into the harvest !

"How then shall they call on him whom they have not believed ? And how will they believe in him whom they have not heard ? And how will they hear about it, if there is no one who preaches ?" (Romans 10:14) You are that person who preaches ! It's you !
