"For the weapons with which we fight are not carnal, but they are mighty by the power of God to overthrow fortresses." 2 Corinthians 10: 4
When Moses stood before the Red Sea all night with a simple stick, Pharaoh and so many others had to find it ridiculous. However, the sea opened in two and the people were able to cross to the promised land. When David, after having refused King Saul's armor, challenged a Philistine named Goliath with a small stone in his sling, he must have been the laughingstock of the soldiers and especially of the giant. Yet he won a brilliant victory. The staff of Moses and the stone of David were insignificant weapons for men. Nevertheless, they became powerful by the virtue of God.
With your faith, pray and ask the Lord to act.
Perhaps on that day you find your tiny faith before your giant, and your prayer so weak before the obstacle to be crossed. Understand this : before your littleness, there is above all the greatness of God. It was by his power that the walls of Jericho collapsed, that Goliath found himself on the ground, and that the Red Sea opened in two. Do not underestimate God, neither your faith nor the strength of your supplication.
Even if you walk in a body of flesh, know that in Christ your weapons are not carnal but spiritual to overthrow the most dramatic situations. Often, when an ordeal rises, many react with their human weakness : in anger or fear. Do not behave like this. With your faith, pray and ask the Lord to act. If God has used a simple stick and a small pebble, he will know how to use your faith and prayer to perform a miracle.
Another dimension exists, not that of flesh and blood, but a spiritual dimension. God's weapons are peaceful but powerful through his virtue. Grab them to reverse the enemy's attacks on your life.
A prayer for today
Lord, I come before you with my simple prayer to overthrow all these situations that afflict me. I do not want to act carnally but spiritually, amen.
