The precious value of the man rebellious

"God created man in his image, he created him in the image of God, he created man and woman. God bless them..." (Genesis 1: 27-28).

In his perfect love, God created every man in his image. And before the beauty of the Garden of Eden, before so many undeserved graces, man rebelled against God by disobeying his command. The rebellious man has been driven out of the garden, and he has since been marked by sin and rebellion. He lost the knowledge of his value.

The people around us do not know their value because they do not know where they come from. A lot of people think of coming down from the monkey or a bacterium. It is therefore not surprising that they are interested only in vain and earthly things. They do not know that they come from heaven. If they knew, they could stop behaving like animals that only aim to meet their physical needs. If they knew, they could look up to heaven and look for God. And they would find it. They could then know God and discover their value! If they knew... but they know it. They intuitively know that God exists, but their rebellious hearts have sought to remove the Creator from his work. They wanted then to find another origin to the man.

"In fact, the invisible perfections of God, his eternal power and his divinity, are seen as in the eye, since the creation of the world, when they are considered in his works. They are therefore inexcusable, since having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, and did not give thanks to Him ; but they have gone astray in their thoughts, and their foolish heart has been plunged into darkness" (Romans 1: 20-21).

Every individual around us was created in the image of God. The value of the rebellious man is immense! So great a value that Jesus gave his blood and delivered his life ! The rebel can repent and his heart be transformed. He can become a follower of Jesus filled with love, transformed by the cross. That's why we need to preach the gospel with love, as much as we can ! Let's bring salvation !
