The real key to effective prayer
Search the Scriptures
The prayer of the righteous works with great force. Elijah was a man of the same nature as us. He prayed earnestly for no rain and no rain fell on the earth for 3 years and 6 months. Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the earth produced its fruit. James 5.16-18
Some people approach prayer as if it were a ritual performed as part of a religious ceremony. Others see it as a kind of greeting card, a gesture of courtesy, a couple of kind sentences expressing nice thoughts, something that's good to do.
But that is not how the Bible presents it. In fact, "the prayer of the righteous works with great force." She can do great things. She can open doors. It can produce real change and even work miracles !
How can we experience this life-changing prayer ? The Bible tells us that this prayer must be active. This term translates the Greek "energeo", which gave our word "energy".
Here we have the real key to effective prayer. Far from being a ritual or a routine, it releases a spiritual energy. It moves heaven and earth. Fervent, energetic prayer makes us strong, able to accomplish feats and overcome obstacles.
The Bible also clearly shows that anyone can have such an impact in prayer. This power is available to anyone who believes. "Elijah was a man of the same nature as us." He was human and made mistakes, like all of us. Yet when he prayed earnestly, great things happened.
This type of prayer is also for you. It is a fervent prayer, made with energy and intensity. She knows that nothing is impossible with God, that nothing is too difficult for him, that all things are possible for those who believe.
Do not wait, bring your needs to God, with renewed determination and energy. Pray fervently. Believe his Word is true. Have faith in him. And persevere in prayer.
Listen the voice of God
Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to communicate. Do you need to experience a new dimension of prayer ? Let the Holy Spirit probe you about it.
Praying is like talking to a friend. You can share everything to God, really everything. Here is a sample prayer you can follow : "Father, I commit my needs to you (list them). I believe that all things are possible with you. I have faith in you. Amen."
Praise God
To praise God is to be grateful to him. What are you grateful for today ? Thank Him for it.
Act today
What can you put in place to apply what God has told you ?
Honor the Lord
We are coming to the end of our journey. Let's pray together.
"Lord, thank you, for thanks to you, I am now righteous in the sight of God. To you be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
