The real you

May Christ dwell in your hearts by faith ... Ephesians 3:17

The experts told us that society is sick. Their solutions addressed human frailty with infusions of low-income housing, social benefits, integrated education and psychological conditioning. But we learn that it is not the total answer. The world needs to change, society needs to change, the nation needs to change, but we will never change it until we are changed. And we will never change until we look in the mirror of our own souls and face the candor of what we are inside. Then freely acknowledge that there is a defect in human nature, an inherent inflection that comes from the natural rebellion of man against God. I do not preach now, just trying to make you understand what makes you tick. But I also expect to show you that in the end you will only find your answers in a personal relationship with God.

Prayer for the day

It is useless to hide the true self from me. I am spreading my most intimate thoughts and feelings today, Lord Jesus.
