The reasons that lead God to deploy his power

In the third chapter of the Acts, after Peter and John healed a paralytic begging at the door leading to the temple, a large number of spectators marveled at his sight. They had known this man for years and the healing was undeniable. When people asked the disciples about it, Peter said to them : "Men of Israel, why are you surprised at this ? Why do you have our gaze fixed on us, as if it were by our own power or our piety that we had made this man walk ? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus" (3: 12-13).

When God decides to manifest His power before unconverted, He does it for a reason. To glorify Jesus, to draw men to Him, to give a glimpse of what paradise may look like. He wants to demonstrate the incredible possibilities that await those who choose to serve Him. His action demonstrates total and absolute authority over the visible world and, when He chooses to do so, it is not our role to question or manipulate the situation. We must accept it and give it the gratitude and praise that are due to it.

Sadly enough, I saw more resistance to the supernatural action of God within the body of Christ than outside. Many Christians are skeptical because they have not seen God perform such miracles in their own lives and they doubt that He can do it in the lives of others.

That worried me a lot at one time, but now I have chosen to simply go forward, continue to preach, work and act according to the Spirit of God. If others seek the power and the Spirit of God, He will reveal them to them.

Decide in your heart not to miss the joy and power that Christ can bring to your life. Open and accept them !
